On May 27th, the press conference and launching ceremony of the 2016 "New Long March of Campus Football" series of activities opened in Beijing Bayi School. The main purpose of the New Long March of Campus Football is to implement the spirit of the General Plan for the Reform and Development of Chinese Football, the Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Strengthening School Physical Education to Promote the All-round Development of Students'Physical and Mental Health, and the Opinions of the Ministry of Education and Other Six Departments on Accelerating the Development of Youth Campus Football. The Office of the National Youth Campus Football Leading Group, taking the opportunity of commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Long March of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army this year, organized a large-scale publicity and promotion campaign of "New Long March of Campus Football" with the theme of campus football.

The event is sponsored by the Office of the National Youth Campus Football Leading Group, sponsored by the Office of the Provincial and Municipal Youth Campus Football Leading Group, co-sponsored by the National Red Army Primary School Construction Engineering Council, the China Disabled Persons Federation and the China Education Television Station, and sponsored by China Life Insurance Co., Ltd. and Adidas Group in Greater China. It is operated and served by Beijing Pan-China Sports Industry Co., Ltd.

At the launching ceremony, Comrade Wang Dengfeng, Director of the Department of Sports Health and Art Education of the Ministry of Education and Director of the Office of the National Youth Campus Football Leading Group, made an opening speech. Subsequently, Comrade Zhu Jiamu, Comrade Guo Guangsheng and Comrade Gao Hongbo made speeches respectively. Vice Chairman Gu Xiulian announced that the "New Long March of Campus Football" was officially launched, and the leaders of the Ministry of Education and the Beijing Municipal Committee presented flags to the student representatives of Beijing Bayi School.

Gu Xiulian, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress and Director of the China Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation, delivered a speech.

After the launching ceremony, the Beijing Station of the New Long March of Campus Football was officially opened. Tom Bayer, an expert in football youth training, and Gao Hongbo, head coach of the National Men's Football Team, came to the scene to demonstrate the training movements for the young players.

Beijing Pan-China Sports Industry Co., Ltd. actively responded to the call of the Ministry of Education to assist the National Youth Campus Football Leading Group Office in the whole process, responsible for the operation and implementation of the new Long March of Campus Football nationwide.
