On the evening of September 23rd,2023, the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium, located on the banks of the Qiantang River, shone brightly with dazzling lights. This building, shaped like a large lotus flower, witnessed the third lighting of the Asian Games torch in China.

At 9:16 p.m., the opening ceremony reached an exciting moment. President Xi Jinping of China announced: "The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou is now open!" Immediately, the entire venue erupted in excitement. The "digital fireworks" bloomed splendidly, and the applause and cheers from the audience lasted for a long time.

At 9:53 p.m., the main torch lighting ceremony began. The Olympic flame for the Asian Games, collected from the Liangzhu Ancient City Ruins, began its relay across Zhejiang Province on September 8th and finally arrived at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium. Under the watchful eyes of the public, the last torchbearer, Wang Shun, along with the "Digital torchbearer", lit the main torch tower of "Qiantang River Tide Surging", and the Asian Games sacred flame blazed brightly.

With the successful conclusion of the opening ceremony of the Hangzhou Asian Games at the "Big Lotus", the competition venues have been in a rush to change. What awaits us was a challenge race against time. To ensure safe and orderly construction, the project team commander customized a precise task division table, which was accurate to the time and assigned responsibilities to individuals. The teams were divided into several groups, including the grass area grass-cutting group, the grass roll transportation group, the mechanical coordination group, the track cleaning group, the logistics support group, the safety emergency group, and the on-site publicity group, which take turns to work. A total of over 50 transport vehicles and mechanical equipment were put into use, including 25 transport trucks, 4 forklifts, 4 grass roll transport vehicles, 4 grass laying vehicles, 2 road rollers, and 2 SMG track cleaning vehicles, etc.

After the venue preparation work from September 20th to 24th, the venue conversion officially began on September 25th! More than 100 event support personnel from Fanhua Sports entered the venue to start construction work. At 6:30, the leveling of the football field bed was completed. At 9:00, 25 grass roll transport vehicles gathered in the grass preparation area. At 10:00, the grass-laying team gathered. The installation and commissioning of the football field sprinkler heads were completed by 11:00. At 11:30, the first roll of grass was transported to the site by forklift and the laying began. At 9:00 p.m., with the laying of the last roll of lawn, the venue conversion was completed! Immediately after that, the lawn repair, compaction, leveling and watering work was completed. From the start of laying the first roll of lawn to the completion of the entire field, it took a total of 9.5 hours, creating a miracle of laying a football field lawn with straw MATS!
