On January 22th, 2021, National Speed Skating Oval "Ice Ribbon" made ice successfully for the first time. This means that the National Speed Skating Oval, the only new venue for the Beijing Zone of Beijing Olympic Winter Games in 2022, has officially met the conditions for test event and national team training. As the contractor of the ice-making system of sports technology, Pan-China Sports has successfully completed the construction and adjustment of the ice-making system of the National Speed Skating Oval project.

National Speed Skating Oval in ice making
The National Speed Skating Oval adopts a unique full ice surface design, with an ice surface area of nearly 12000 square meters, and is divided into ten areas, which can be used to make ice according to the characteristics of different ice projects. The ice-making road speed skating competition area includes three 400-meter speed skating competition tracks. There is also a practice track inside the speed skating track, a 60-meter by 30-meter multi-functional ice rink, a 61-meter by 31-meter multi-functional ice rink (ice hockey, figure skating, short track speed skating and other functions) and a movable ice rink, which can meet the multi-functional needs of the event at the same time. Through the automatic control of high-precision refrigeration system, the temperature difference of the ice surface is controlled within 0.5°C. The multi-functional ice surface can meet the international competition standards of short track speed skating, figure skating, curling, ice hockey and other sports.

The Pan-China Sports "Ice Ribbon" project team has completed the technical scheme deepening, main equipment procurement, ice surface construction, machine room construction, equipment commissioning, automation control system commissioning and other construction work in a relatively short construction period. At the same time, with rich experience in foreign project cooperation, the team cooperated with ice making, refrigeration and equipment experts from Canada, Britain, Sweden, France and other countries, and cooperated with Mr. Mark Messer, the ice maker of the International Olympic Committee, Ice plate cleaning, bottom ice pouring, paint marking, layered multiple ice pouring, ice hole monitoring system laying, anti-collision pad installation, ice pouring vehicle ice repair and other processes were completed, which ultimately ensured the success of the first ice making and won the unanimous praise of the project owners and partners.

Pan-China Sports "Ice Ribbon" Team and International Ice Maker Complete Ice Making Technology
The Pan-China Sports Ice Making Team maintained full enthusiasm to complete the ice making task with equipment, and continued to ensure the normal operation of the National Speed Skating Oval ice surface. Always maintain a state of readiness, ready to meet the upcoming test event, national team training, Winter Olympics and other large-scale events.
As a leading sports industry group in China, Pan-China Sports carries forward the spirit of "National Team" in the construction of Chinese stadiums and gymnasiums. It has successively participated in the completion of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics Curling Venue-Water Cube "Ice-water Conversion" ice-making project and dehumidification system project, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics Ice Hockey Venue-National Indoor Stadium ice-making system project, and the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics Avenue Speed Skating Venue-National Speed Skating Oval CO2 transcritical direct cooling ice-making system project. Among them, the National Speed Skating Oval project takes the lead in using the most environmentally friendly CO2 as the refrigerant, using the advanced CO2 transcritical direct cooling method to make ice, ensuring the best energy efficiency ratio and excellent ice surface performance, which is also a contribution and responsibility of Pan-China Sports to China's "Carbon Neutral" process.
